Pre-Order Not Delivered In Time

I bought a game pre-order and selected post office delivery. It was dispatched on the 30th May for me to pickup at the post office the next working day (i even received an sms from kalahari saying i can pick it up the next working day) and when i went to pickup today it was not delivered. I was told speed services don't deliver on saturdays so i have to wait till monday.
What is the point in pre-ordering then? I can now walk into a store and purchase my game! i loose out an entire weekend of gaming!
