Jeff’s Bikes – Customer rip-off

I purchased a Gomoto150CC scooter from Jeff's Bikes (273 Umbilo Road) in December last year. The sales rep Vishaal was friendly and accommodating whilst making the sale but since I handed over my cash the customer service the store has disappeared. We were promised by Vishaal that we would receive a full tank of petrol on purchase- this was not the case and he denied this when we queried it upon pickup. We were also told that the 1st service of the scooter was free-this was a huge selling point. We were asked to pay R193.80 for the 1st Service. Vishaal was not at the office. He advised over the phone that we misunderstood - and that only the "labour" is free. EVEN if this was the case and if I (the customer) misunderstood -Jeff's Bikes had no right to change parts in the scooter (parts that cost money) without getting authorization from me. This is standard and ethical procedure. And Jeff's Bikes did not follow this procedure. When we advised Vishaal that we were unhappy with the service he asked "If we were threatening him". This is NOT the tone to take with customers who just purchased a R10 000 scooter from your store. Please think twice before doing business with Jeff's Bikes
