Why we need technical knowledge

Having used Aerial Installationz for the past 4 years and always believing they were providing a good service, my latest incident proved me wrong. Channels were disappearing from my Dstv and I was being restricted to what channels I could view. Sure enough Aerial Installationz was promptly there to assist. They blamed my decoders, which I exchanged at Dstv (this alone had it's challenges). When the problem persisted, Aerial Installationz advised me that my Dstv dish needed to be moved from its current position to a most unsightly place at my house. Not happy with the new proposed position, my wife decided to get a 2nd opinion. Well bless her cotton socks, the 2nd provider stated that there was nothing wrong with the dish, the fault lay with the perished cables which needed replacing. Once done I was back to watching any channel of my choice!

My trust in Aerial Installationz is gone, albeit they are friendly, they lack technical knowledge and have charged me call out fees to give me incorrect info. I could have saved time and frustration by not having to exchange my decoders and waiting 4 months to have my system operational.
