Eureka Health & Beauty
Sells products with 2012 expiry dates in July 2013

Miscellaneous

The last weekend of June 2013, I treated my teenage daughter with her first facial at this salon. I chose this specific salon because they make use of organic treatments and they sell only products which are 100% organic and which have not been tested on animals.
My daughter loved her facial treatment, and afterwards I decided to buy a complete skincare range from Eureka Health & Beauty for both myself and my daughter. I have spent almost R4000-00 in one go to buy treatments as well as shampoo.
When I got home, and I wanted to use my creams, I noticed that everything was not in order. When I checked the expiry dates, I was horrified: I have just spend thousands of Rands on products which have expiry dates that are before the end of 2013.
The owner, Elmarie, refused to refund me. According to Elmarie she has sold everything to me at a discounted price.
The shampoo which had a price tag of R220-00 for a small bottle of 150ml had an expiry date of September 2012!
What is even more shocking, is that when I returned to her shop, yesterday, two weeks after the incident, guess what? The shampoo bottles with an expiry date of September 2012 were still displayed and ready to be sold.
