Google Chrome: home page issues

I recently installed Google Chrome as my internet search engine expecting to have GOOGLE search as my home page instead i get like delta search, hola, bing, etc. even if I go to settings and specify that I want google as my search engine it automatically resets to all the other, that always first want to reroute you to other, equally useless, search engines. Even worse, it imbeds these search engine into your computer and has to be uninstalled. I am not a happy camper. All I ask for is simplicity. The only reason I am on Hello Peter is because the Google Chrome page has no comment, contact or complaints section.
