Unisa
Credit Confusion

Education & Science

Hi there

I paid my balance due to unisa fees a few days late. I then noticed that I had a credit to my account of R944 and a balance due of R100. So unaware of the what the credit was for I paid the balance outstanding.

I emailed the finance department the proof of payment and also emailed the study department for information relating to what outstanding modules I still have to study in order to complete my degree. The study department won't answer my email because they say I have study fees outstanding. The finance department don't respond timeously to their emails or have even sent me an email to advise what the credit is for.

I have since heard that if study fees are paid late unisa cancels your modules??? Is this true? I have emailed the finance department and await their response, however, this could take 3 weeks and my exam is 3 weeks away. I just need clarity on the situation and if I have to repay the amount of R944 will someone please let me know so I can pay it and write my exam in 3 weeks.
