Dangerous slippery floor tiles at some of our shopping centres

Floor tiles can be very slippery and dangerous when wet. This incident happened at Riverside Boulevard shopping centre in Vanderbijlpark. The morning of 10 December 2013, I was on my way to Checkers at the above mentioned shopping centre. I was walking from the parking area and stepped onto the stooptiles, with my second step onto these tiles; I slipped and fell backwards, hitting my head directly on the tiles. The next thing I remembered was two Police Officers picking me up and taking me inside Clicks. It felt as if I was dreaming. I was taken into a room with a bed where a Medical sister attended to me. Everybody was very helpful and professional. The sister at Clicks took care of me and stopped the bleeding on the back of my head. She took my blood pressure as well as sugar levels.

The Police Officer fetched my husband at home and the sister called the Ambulance. I was then taken to Emfuleni Medi-Clinic where I was stabilized and released some hours later. Two days later, I contacted the shopping centre Management Head Office in Pretoria. In short I told them about my incident at the shopping centre, and told them
