Poor Quality of Work

Redruth Thatching was contracted to repair my lapa early August. Hanro de Jager instilled confidence in their workmanship and ensured me that he will be on site when his team arrived as he would like to give them detailed instructions on what needs to be done. Never happened. They were late to arrive, 1 week. The structure was totally askew and not what was initially agreed. I cancelled the contract immediately due to their poor workmanship as I was not prepared to have them complete the grass work which may have been of a similar standard. After much fighting, they returned 2 months later to complete the structural work, which a subcontractor did, which they did not even inform me of. With the initial structural work they messed oil on my newly painted walls and furniture. Numerous emails and phone calls to Hanro de Jager about the damage caused by his crew has gone unanswered and he has billed me for materials specifically ordered for the contract even though at a glance is obvious was not purchased for the contract but was lying around their site somewhere.
