Dent Magic
Missing tyre inflator after car repaired

Cars & Transport

On 18/3/2013, my car went to Dent Magic, Tokai for repairs. Upon collection on 20/3/2013 (prior to leaving their premises), I specifically checked the contents of the boot to ensure that the spare tyre etc was intact and found that the tyre inflator was missing. As this was late in the evening, they promised to check the following day for the tyre inflator. I had to then call repeatedly and was finally informed that they denied this. I lodged a written complaint with them on 27/3 along with a quotation for replacement of the missing inflator (R2477) to which they responded that they had not experienced such an incident before and had checked the footage and could not see the inflator having been removed (although contained within the spare tyre which was removed along with the jack in order to effect the repairs). It must be noted that I experienced a flat tyre on 08/3/2013 and had personally checked that all had been replaced into the boot when repaired.

On 28/3 I reverted to Dent Magic advising that I was not happy with their response and requesting a refund. I often travel alone in the course of my work and cannot be endangered by this situation. No further response!
