Got a brand new audi from East London. After just doing about 35, 000 kms had a problem with the clutch. The gear would not engage. Called audi and got it towed to the service station in East London. This was the feedback from the agent:
1. The problem is due to wear and tear which is not covered under motor plan.
2. R21, 000.00 to repair the problem.
3. There is a DELICATE balance and if the feet is on the clutch the problem can occur.
We have driven various models of Volvo and mercedes before and after this problem without any hassles. If the audi is so delicate then I am a bit confused about the reliability of these cars.
Ofcourse the the customer service we got from the East London branch from the day we planned to buy the car was horrible. Can't blame anybody else but ourselves for going ahead with the deal even after getting such horrible customer service.
After the problem occured we reported the fault through their customer service email address on their website. But as expected NO REPLY from them. Ofcourse the East London branch was not even bothered.
Got the car repaired with our own money and immediately traded it in for Merc 180. Beautiful car good customer service.
