Call Centre don't know company products

I phoned the Ford SA call centre and asked the following question "does Ford produce the Ford Figo in the colour Colorado Red? " After asking me to hold while he "checked", Phineas eventually came back and suggested I phone a dealer. Unhappy that Ford SA couldn't answer a simple question about their own product, I asked to be put through to a supervisor. I got the standard response that they were all "in a meeting" which I told him was rubbish so I eventually got put through to a "specialist" by the name of Vernon. I found his explanation that the call centre was there to "refer customers to the correct people to help them with their query" even more puzzling as he again suggested that the dealers know more about whether Ford produces a car in a particular colour than Ford SA does. Again I asked to be put through to his supervisor who he tells me "doesn't talk to customers". Well I guess we now know how much customer service to expect if I was ever stupid enough to buy a Ford product.
