STUTTAFORDS VAN LINES - BAD BAD SERVICE

We contracted Stuttafords to move our furniture from Cape Town to Johannesburg - their quote was the most expensive, but the company has a good reputation for good service. They charged us an extra R2280.00 for the use of a shuttle vehicle to move stuff from the big van through security gates to our new home in Bedfordview.

The shuttle vehicle was never organized, resulting in chaos at the delivery address and wastage of more than 1/2 a day. My partner took time off (she works on billable hours) to supervise the offload, but because the shuttle vehicle was never organized (for which we had paid upfront), more than 1/2 a day was lost, resulting is considerable inconvenience for us.

An already stressful event (moving home) has been turned into a friggin nightmare by the incompetence and lack of planning by Stuttafords.

To make it worse, they made us pay up front for the whole move including the shuttle vehicle (which never arrived).

DONT EVER USE STUTTAFORDS for you move. Take a cheaper quote and expect bad service, because bad service is what you will get from Stuttafords anyway and you will simply pay more for the bad service.
