Charged for a gearbox that was damaged on receipt

On the 9th of December 2013 We pon putting the gearbox in the car the gearbox was found to be faulty, 1st and 2nd gear gear did not work at all, it wouldn't even go into the gears position. They were informed of it upon immediate discovery of the problem. Due to my fiance and I having to work in the week we arranged with them that would collect the damaged gearbox and swop it for a new one. Upon doing so we received a phone call from Desroy stating that we would have to pay another R2000 as we had damaged the gearbox. When trying to find a solution and come to a solution where no one would loose out, he proceeded to put the phone done mid sentance and not even listen to reason. I will never ever recomend them to anybody whether for towing, spares or any other sort of service. It is disgusting that a complaint is handled in that manner.
