Pump overflow

On 15 November I stopped to refuel at the Sasol garage in Sasolburg. Whilst the attendant was washing my window, the petrol started gushing and spraying out of my tank. When I went to find out what is going on, as this is a huge safety risk, the manager informs me that the automatic cut offs do not work, and the attendants are aware of this. She in turn offered to take 2 liters off the cost to me! That is not a solution. I requested for my car to get washed off as it was now covered in fuel, and her next solution was to spray it off with the fire hose as they have no car wash. That is another safety issue as a firehouse should not be used for anything else! I did however allow them too as I had no alternat solution, and it was very unsafe to drive off in a car covered in fuel.
1. The safety of all customers and staff are at risk due to, in my mind, negligence.
2. Only time will show if my vehicle will show evidence of damage from being covered in fuel. The manager really didn't care about the incident or what to do about it.
