International recall for safety reasons ignored

Let me start this off by saying that I have owned only Gsx-r's through my entire career of riding. I have ridden many other brands of bikes but my heart has always been with Suzuki.

One gripe I have had with my current bike - Gsx-R 1000 - is the front brake. After many Internet searches I found that I am not the only one with the same issue. The brakes will be bled on the first of the month and by mid-month, poor to almost no brakes. This is a safety concern to myself and all others suffering with this issue. To date the brake pads, brake lines and brake discs have all been replaced to cure the issue with no luck.

Finding out about the WORLDWIDE recall shows that there is a fundamental fault. This led me to call my Suzuki dealership and enquire about my bike. I was told that due to it being a parallel import, Suzuki will not cover the recall on my bike.

I am disgusted that Suzuki as a brand will not come to an agreement to assist a client given the grave danger of faulty brakes on one of their products regardless of where their product came from. My bike, like every other Gsx-R 1000 comes from Japan and it's a worldwide recall after all.

My next bike will not be a Suzuki.
