Household good move from Johannesburg to Beira

Once again I have written to Shipping Manager, Lydia Mineo of Bayley's in despair. I am still waiting for her to return my call of 27th July when two unpackers arrived on a bicycle to unpack and remove the boxes and crates of my 40ft container with one cutter between them. This after dealing originally with Brenda Bayley herself. My move was, unfortunately, an unmitigated disaster from start to finish involving the incorrect estimation of container size required, to incorrect advice and clear ignorance as to paperwork required, to minimal communication and coordination and follow up, to the disastrous final delivery, unpacking and removal of packing material.

The only thing I can compliment them on is the exceptional packing. This is perhaps all they should do as a company because there was very little else that was good about their service or competence.

I was also originally told that the delivery would take approximately 10 days. Well, it took two months. A month to sort out the query regarding costs of a 40ft vs a 20ft and then a full month on the water to final delivery.

The company should be ashamed of it's lack of customer service ethos and misrepresentation.
