Supa Quick
No-care attitude about defective work/product

Cars & Transport

I replaced my two front tyres with Bridgestones (R1 500 / tyre) on the Thursday before Easter. On Easter Friday, after only having travelled approximately 50km, my left front tyre burst suddenly whilst I was travelling on the N1 Highway.

I stooped next to the road and saw that the sidewall of the tyre burst, but decided that it will be safer to drive slowly to the nearest offramp to repalce the tyre at the petrol station (approximately 1km away).

At the petrol station I requested the attendants to check the pressure of all tyres Supa Quick worked on and pumped. I was informed that they pumped the tyres 3 bar instead of the maximum 2.2 bar.

I returned to Supa Quick on the Tuesday after Easter and after assessing the burst tyre they also confirmed that there were no signs of damage to the tread and only sidewall burst visible. They, however, sent the tyre to Bridgestone for further assessment and told me I would have to pay for another tyre for the time being.

Surprise surprise, Bridgestone could not find any fault with the rubber and Supa Quick just denied any responsibility for the incident.

They clearly don't care if they deliver defective service to customers.
