Missed flight - due to queue

On Thursday morning (14/10/2013) I was bookend on the 6:30am Mango flight JE123 from Johannesburg to Cape Town. I arrived at the airport a full hour before the departure time (5:30 am) and went straight to the Mango check-in queue. I stood in line for 30 mins and when I wanted to check in at 6:00am (when I got to the front) they said that check in was already closed. I had a meeting at 12:00pm so had to run around trying to find another flight to Cape Town. I ended up spending about an additional R2900 on a one-way ticket with Kalula (which helped me quite quickly). The trip cost me a lot of money and left me disappointed as I have already booked flights with Mango for my honeymoon in December. I am considering rather using Kalula instead in the future.
