When you book a flight through [URL Removed] you have the option to enter your flight code and receive a 10% discount on car hire. When you enter your Discovery vitality number you can receive 8% discount. I entered both the codes and all I got was 8% (obviously Vitality) discount. Thought there was something wrong with the website.
I phoned the call centre and they said that the flight discount was not working on-line and that a customer should phone to receive the flight discount. But when I told her that I entered my Vitality number as well, she responded by saying that I can only have one or the other discount.
She out right told me that it's better to take the Vitality discount? Where in the world is 8% discount better than 10%. You got to be kidding?
Was [URL Removed] not trying to keep an extra 2 % by suggesting that I should take the lower discounted rate?
I would like to know WHY an existing flight customer cannot get the 10% flight discount & their 8% Vitality discount.
Wouldn't that make the difference between choosing [URL Removed] and their competitors?
