First I get a phone call inviting me to attend a presentation in Midrand and that i will get a holiday voucher, and they insisted that i come with a partner. On arrival, me and my partner are escorted to 1 of the sales consultant where the product on offer is presented. They presented holiday packages in the form of shares. I liked the product, i decided to become a member of the club. We signed forms and i was given the voucher.
Now, when signing the form (contract) it was agreed that i will pay a deposit in cash and after three months from the date of signing the contract the installments will start deducting on a monthly basis. I payed the deposit and then month end they deducted a monthly installment and on the second month they deducted again. i phoned their office and I was told that it is stated in the contract. I was fed up and felt that i wanted to cancel the contract, i was further told i cannot cancel i have signed a lifetime contract. This was not explained to me before signing the contract. The contract is 15 pages and it was explained to me in less than 5 min. I am further going to consult with the National Consumer Commission, my rights have been violated.
