How secure I am with Vodacom???

On the 17th of April I got a sms from Vodacom Customer care that someone is trying to do a SIM swap on my number.
I was in a meeting and as soon as I came out I phoned the customer care and mentioned that it is a. He keep on asking me questions about when I last made a phone call? When I last recharged? etc. I told him to ask any personal information which I know. He refused to help me.

The next day I was sitting in my office and got a call from ABSA that due to transaction they have blocked my account and the have transferred R28500 from my account. Then I saw my SIM is not working also. The criminals have swapped the SIM to get hold of the RVN number.

ABSA did an investigation and said that the RVN number was successfully delivered to my phone. So they are refusing to compensate.

I went to VODACOM Canal Walk the same evening (18th April) and they asked me to bring a affidavit from SAPS. I did the same and they opened a case. No one has contacted me after that. I wish to know who is responsible for this. I have to work hard for my each CENT that I save. My question is HOW CAN ONE DO A SIM SWAP WITHOUT MY ID??? HOW CAN VODACOM let this happen???
