We have recently moved and had a telkom phone and dsl line installed, i have a 1Mbps uncapped account from Mweb and a trial 10GB account from Afrihost, when running speed tests with either isp the ping is around 150ms to local servers and download speed is max 0.2Mbps, i have reported this serveral times and each time a technician apparently goes to the exchange and fixes the problem, however it has not been fixed, i have had this same 1Mbps account for the past 3 years in 3 different houses and ping has always been 20-30ms and download speed 0.8Mbps-1Mbps, i cannot use a connection like this as its to slow to download anything and the ping is so bad i cannot play any games online i have to use a wireless MTN connection to play online with 50ms ping, what a rubbish adsl connection as the ping is 3 times higher than a wireless connection. The Line was also installed in a unprofessional manner as the physical cable is hanging about 1.5 meters off the ground and is going across the middle of our yard, Please have these issue sorted out as i am becoming extremely frustrated now.
