On 11 March 2013 I called Vodacom Direct to upgrade my contract. I received my new handset on 12 March 2013 via courier. I found the sim card slot mechanism to be faulty and reported this to Vodacom on 15 March 2013. I was told that my handset (Samsung Galaxy Note 2) would be collected and a new one delivered in 3-7 working days (there was no clarity as to whether this would happen together or separately). I was informed that there was a stock shortage but after a month of not hearing from Vodacom I called and was told that there was stock available but no info was given as to when my handset would be replaced. I asked to be contacted with an update and after another week I sent an email to [Email Removed] All I received was an auto response and sms saying that the Retentions department were dealing with it and that I would be contacted in 24-48 hours. So far 4 weeks down the line I haven't heard anything other than the auto response. I'll be cancelling my upgrade in the next 24-48 hours if my problem can't be resolved.
