This is not so much a complaint as rather a question/proposal to Vodacom. I lost my job during 2008 and as a result defaulted on a lot of my accounts but have since been able to pay back most of the accounts.
As a result of my financial situation I defaulted on my cellphone contracts namely call and data packages. I know I am still responsible for the outstanding amounts on these contracts but I have not caused Vodacom a loss but rather a loss of income. Obviously I was never able to use the call plan (082 778) that I signed up for.
I received a letter from Vodacom's attorneys demanding payment, which I fully understand.
Now may question to Vodacom is as follows: I would like to "restart" the contract that I originally had on my current nr, I would pay the monthly subscription as any other customer would. I am currently using a Vodacom prepaid account. So in stead of still paying my prepaid and paying off the original contracts (that I never used) won't this be a workable way to get the money owed and give me the airtime I am paying for?
In addition to the subscription on the Talk 500 package I would pay an additional R1000 per month to settle the other account accs
