Delay with porting

I signed a cellphone contract with 8ta Westood on 8 March 2013. I had a prepaid number on the vodacom network. I wanted to keep my number and was told that i could port to 8ta. The porting would take between 24 to 72 hours. Its now 30 March. Ive been phoning the branch several times as well as the 8ta porting department. I'm always told the same thing. Porting will take place withing 24 to 72 hours. Ive not been able to use my new contract phone as no one knows my temporary number. I dont think I should be charged for this months subscription. How long must i still wait for the number to go through. 28 days is lots of 24 to 72 hours. Im at my wits end. Please help!!!
