Misleaded about a phone contract

On the 14/11/2012, i received a call from a call center agent Veena Chetty, promoting a contract on behalf of Vodacom from the Rewards department. She said that as a loyal prepaid Vodacom Customer, she would like to thank me for my support towards the network. She informed about the Talk 120 package that excludes a phone, but consists of 120 free minutes and of the good billing rates that i will be charged after my free minutes are up. She also gave me the number the cancel (0861236666) if i was dissatisfied. It sounded like a good deal and I immediately agreed to it. The end of December i received my first bill of R850 (approx.). I immediately called in to say that this is ridiculous and it was said that it was Pro-Rata rates and that i should try it for another month to see what my monthly bill would be. January it came to R520 and every month uptill March it has been around that amount. Each time i call to query why my Bill is so high i get told that if i want to cancel, i would have to pay 24months in advance in one payment. On 16/03/13 I called a Lady from the cancellation dept and explained this to her. She said that after my call she would SMS me a ref. no.for the call &never did
