I've been a customer of Mtn with good record, since approx '97. June 2012 I got a smartphone: Samsung Note. I didn't receive guidance from the supplier, how to use, setings etc. July 2012 phone was cut, before receiving my account, since my bill I was told was over R 20 000! I went to Somerset Mall branch, who couldn't explain it but said they would come back to me. I had to follow up.By the third time I went to the branch to try and resolve this, I was told the next months account was already also approx R 20 000! Thus total approx R 40 000 . On this occasion, the THIRD only consultant who looked at my phone and bill in the branch, noted that there was a setting switched on, downloading data permanently! He switched it off for me, the rediculous billing stopped. Since that day I have been trying to resolve this matter, even involving my lawyer. Mtn said they will look into it. Phone was cut continuously, even though I paid the phone call portion of accounts. They stopped sending bills making me think they are investigating. This week I received sumons for approx R 80 000! This for data not used, due to setting on phone! This is and impossible to pay!
