I reported my son's phone and requested blacklisting on 1March 2013. His phone was recovered on Wed 6th. It was still working and had not been blacklisted yet. On the 7th, the blacklisting took effect for his phone as well as mine which I had not requested to be blaclisted. I did not realise mine was blacklisted until Friday morning. I had popped into Vodacom who let me know they were offline and that was the likely reason my phone was not working. I went in later that day and was informed that my phones had been blacklisted. I filled in unblacklisting forms which were sent to Vodacom. Despite many efforts since that date, both my phones are still blacklisted. I even phoned as high as a Director (Shameel Jacoob) who would not speak to me but communicated through his assistant that they did not blacklist the phones - but MTN did. I went to MTN who said they could not help me as I do not have a MTN number and they would not have been able to action the unblacklisting. I have been promised by many Vodacom representatives that someone would call me back - I am still waiting for this issue to be resolved. It has been 3 weeks now - no resolution in site.
