I have been contacted by Sars stating that I worked @ MTN for 2 yrs without paying tax but I never worked for MTN direct but via agency, Tlhalefang Placements for only 6months in 2007, then I resigned in October 2007, after getting a new job, where am still employed. Now I need MTN to explain how come I appear on their database, and they must clear this tax certificate I know nothing about, which has bank details and residential address that I don't even know.
I tried contacting MTN HR, Nontokozo Ntuli, who did not help me, she said I never worked for MTN, so I must resolve this with the agency, even after explaining that the certificate was issued by MTN not the agency..still got no help.
The problem am faced with now is SARS who wants R20 000 from me, for those years I wasn't paying tax. I am disgusted and need MTN to resolve this ASAP.
