I received a new SG SIII handset. Within a day, more than my 750MB bundle was used up by the Gallery application (proof sent). As confirmed by Li-La at customer service, this is due to default behavior where the gallery syncs with your Google online photo library. I complained that my service provider did not provide me with a warning of such default behavior and received a quote from the user manual (see bellow) and was informed that is not Nashua mobile's problem or fault. The manual mentions that there are charges for using data and NOT that data will be used by default without you consenting to it in the first place. Consider the following: I could have a contract with a small or no data bundle. I have a massive Google photo library. When I get my phone I could run up a R10 000 out of bundle data bill and only find out when I get my invoice. Thus Nashua benefits financially by not informing customers of this default behavior.
