My iPhone 5 developed a faulty screen - so I took it into the Sandton City branch on 25 Nov 2013. Mid December I was asked to come to the branch with an iPhone charger since the branch doesn't have any chargers. When I got there I was told that the phone was Beyond Economical Repair and that i would have to buy a new phone. What ever happened to warranties? When I asked what the actual fault was I was told the report only said BER and they would send it in again for a full report. I'm still waiting. I did call the Cell C repairs number only to be told that they have no record of my phone ever reaching them. If my phone goes faulty within the first year surely I should be given a new phone? Being made to wait for over two months is ridiculous.
