I got a contract with vodacom for many years. My contract ended in November 2011 and i queried what would the settle amount be as i wanted to upgrade my contract which i normally did. In Novermber i paid ex amount and then renewed my contract. My new contract No Is 13306887-8.
On 30 January 2013 I recieve a sms and i quote, you have missed payment on your Acc. Call MBD INC (Munnik Basson Dagama Attorneys) ref. No To make an arrangement and avoid unnecessary costs. I then phone them to enquire and they indicated to me that Vodacom has handed me over for a outstanding account. That i was handed over in January 2012 already, that i am black listed and there are added costs from the date of handing over the account. i then asked for a number to contact Vodacom but u never get through. I then email Vodacom regarding my query and they replied that i can go back to the website or try another number which i think is totally unexceptable. The reference was 0013Ma8FVHE68nb71.
what is my major concern is that if i had a outstanding amount, WHY was i not contacted by Vodacom didnt recieve no letter or even a call. That i was handed over in January 2012. which means nothing was done to contact
