Cancelled contract still taking money

I cancelled my virgin mobile contract around Sep 2013. The person in cancelations said I had to give a three month notice period and that my last debit order would go off on the 1st of Dec 2013. All my debit orders went off for the last three months as agreed, in Jan 2014 another debit went off, I went to the bank to return the money back to my account. Now in Feb 2014 I got debited again, twice because I returned the money in Jan 2014. When I phoned after the double debit order the lady said my contract had only been cancelled in Jan 2014 and I have to give them notice. I then explained everything to her and her reply was "I will send a request for immediate cancelation through for you and wait for a reply" I'm going back to the bank to return the money again but I wonder who will cover all the costs of bank charges and INCONVENIENCE...
