In April of last year I was notified by lawyers that my account was in arrears, as a vodacom consultant had diverted all of my contact info so that I never received the billing information! After quering this with Vodacom, going into their head offices, they even gave me a discounted amount for their error in not delivering my billing information. I paid the account in full very quickly. When I recently tried to apply for credit, Vodacom's default listing appeared on my credit report. So I queried it through Transunion, providing all the documentation, and the investigation proved unsuccessful! I FIND IT EXTREMELY UNFAIR, that Vodacom refuses to remove the listing even though they failed to inform me of my outstanding account and even though I paid it up front.
