I phoned 081 180 to get some help with my fathers account. My father is 80 years old and almost deaf.
So they ask me if he could confirm that I am his daughter, so I said he is in a retirement village, so they ask if he could phone them to confirm, so I say no he is almost deaf and does not understand all the options e.g. "press one if this is your number, press 2 if this is not your number etc. etc."
So they said they will phone him while I hang on, so they come back and say he does not answer, so sorry they can't help me!! I ask if he could confirm via email, they said NO!!
So I phone my Dad and he picks up the phone immediately, (they obviously) I try explaining to him, more like shouting cause he is deaf, that he must phone them and give them permission that I may sort out his account, so he tries but after 5 tries he does not understand all the options, I tell him not to stress.
So now I wonder if 8ta has any more suggestions for me!!??
