In December 2012 I was approached telephonically by a gentleman who was calling from Vodacom.
This gentleman advised that he had selected me for being a loyal customer and he would like to reward me with a free cellphone and Homemark Voucher (Afrizon).
I immediately informed him that I was not interested in anything that he had to offer and I thanked him for his call.
He persuaded me not to end the call and I again told him that I was not interested in anything he had to offer and I was happy with my Top Up 135. He continued insisting and I asked him if I had to pay for anything or sign any paperwork e.g. a contract and he said "no". He simply asked me for a delivery address - I advised that if there was anything suspicious I would return the cellphone. The phone and Afrizon voucher was delivered the next day at my workplace in Midrand and I was very excited, as I had just received a cellphone and a shopping voucher from Afrizon for free!
I have been paying for a 24 month contract ever since and I want to be reimbursed the monies owned to me. I did not ask for an additional contract!!! I will take this matter further if this case is not investigated.
