I recently got a contract with Vodacom a few months ago, only to discover the line is shared. I constantly get bank notification messages that are the other parties, calls and other messages. This is highly frustrating.

when people try to call me they cant or the phone is picked up by someone else.

I called Vodacom to try rectify this. I was given a lame story and told if I want to solve the problem I must pay 280 to change my number. This is absolutely insane. Vodacom should take responsibility as I am their customer and didnt choose this number myself. If they can allocate a number that doesnt belong to anybody else after I pay surely they can do that from the start.
