I pay for 2MB / second bandwidth. I returned from holiday 5 days ago and my ADSL modem had been unplugged while I was away, so no data had been used in my absence.
Since my return, my internet has been appallingly slow with speed tests showing download speeds of between 0.1 and 0.4 MB / second - far short of the 2 MB per second Afrihost is meant to be providing.
When I call Afrihost I am told that it is because I'm on an uncapped data package, that their uncapped users share lines and THAT their lines are congested!
My understanding was that users can only be "throttled" back when their usage becomes unreasonable in terms of their "fair usage policy".
When I ask to speak with a manager I'm put on hold for what seems like hours until I eventually give up.
If I am paying for 2MB bandwidth I believe that (or thereabouts) is what I'm entitled to, unless I abuse the service, which I have not done.
