HOW DO I CANCEL MY TELKOM LINE?

I have gone to a Telkom store to cancel my ADSL and phone line, but they said they can't do it in store and I have to phone the standard 10210 number. I've called several times and have always sat on hold for 30 minutes plus without any response. There does not seem to be any email associated with cancellations, and there does not seem to be anybody actually manning the call centre, so I have no way to cancel.

This definitely contravenes the CPA, and is a very scummy practice to avoid cancellations by Telkom. I need my line cancelled immediately.
