I have a Samsung Tablet 2 10.1. Yesterday it stopped working, did not want to switch on or charge. Took it to Vodacare Polokwane & they booked it in for repairs. Just now I received a call with a Repair quote of R1001and was told it is for a new battery and charger and cable. I argued that this should form part of warranty & was told warranty for a battery is for 6-months. My issue is that why SAMSUNG give its customers 6-months warranty for a battery instead of a warranty which is equivalent to 24-month contract like they do with mechanical parts? This is unacceptable, Does Samsung not have confidence in the lifespan of their batteries to only provide 6-months warranty? My tablet is 12 months old & already Tablet has battery & technical issues. I am very disappointed with SAMSUNG.
