I phoned, rather tried for about an hour to phone the menlyn mtn shop with no answer, I went to the shop, stood in a queue for 30mins for an upgrade just to hear that i need my green barcoded ID to do an upgrade, I asked if my drivers license is fine and the consultant said no they need it for proof of identity. As far as I know a drivers license is proof of identity. I do not understand why they dont accept a drivers license as any bank and the post office does. I think it is very poor service and they wasted my time. I have been with mtn for more than 10years without any problems but the menlyn shop made the decision for me to cancel my 2 contracts with mtn and move to one of the other cellphone providers.
