On 19 November 2013 I requested to port my number from MTN to Vodacom. This request was approved and processed on 27 November 2013. My debit order went off on 1 December 2013, for the debit order goes off in arrears, and it was for the end of October 2013 invoice. I was then told by MTN that my last debit order will go off on 1 January 2014. I queried this with Customer Care, for MTN invoice monthly subscriptions in advance, and invoiced me subs for the month of December 2013 on 20 November 2013, and Vodacom became my new SP on 27 November 2013, using a new Vodacom simcard. I 1st queried this with MTN via email on 2 December 2013, only got a response from them on 18 December 2013. To date I am still waiting for an answer to explain to me why they invoice me on 20 November 2013 for December subs, I do not make use of MTN as my Service Provider for the month of December 2013, and they do not credit the invoice, and confirm that my account has been closed. The debit order did go off on 1 January 2014 for R 810.50. I instructed my bank to reverse the debit order. The fact that I ported on 27 November, and their bill run for December happened on 20 November 2013, is not my concern.
