I BOOKED MY PHONE IN FOR REPAIRS AT VODAWORLD. THERE WAS NO COMMUNICATION FROM VODACOM ABOUT THE PROGRESS OF THE REPAIRS. I PHONED A WEEK LATER TO MAKE AN ENQUIRY AND I WAS INFORMED THAT THE PHONE WAS READY THE DAY AFTER I BOOKED IT IN. THEY KEPT THE PHONE FOR WEEK WITHOUT INFORMING ME THAT IT WAS READY FOR COLLECTION. WHEN I WENT TO COLLECT THE PHONE, I FOUND THAT THE PHONE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THEREAFTER, THEY KEPT THE PHONE FOR APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS AND DID NOT NOTIFY ME THAT I HAVE BEEN QUOTED FOR THE PHONE TO BE REPAIRED. WHEN I ENQUIRED ABOUT THE PROBLEM WITH THE PHONE, I WAS INFORMED THAT IT WAS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM. HOWEVER, I WAS QUOTED AS THE PHONE WAS VOID OF WARRANTY DUE TO PHYSICAL DAMAGE.
THE WHOLE ENCOUNTER WAS A HUGE INCONVENIENCE AS I HAD TO TAKE TIME OFF WORK AND IT COST ME A LOT OF MONEY FOR TRANSPORT. I SHOULD''NT HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS SERVICE AS THIS WAS A SOFTWARE PROBLEM AND NOTHING TO DO WITH PHYSICAL DAMAGE. WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO PAY AFTER BEING INCONVENIENCED SO MUCH.
THIS IS NOT MY FIRST COMPLAINT, MY EXPERIENCES WITH VODAWORLD/VODACOM ARE ALWAYS UNPLEASANT
