After having written that complaint, I simply received a general response from Telkom which I feel is completely insincere! Secondly I then finally got my line installed this week Tuesday, after 3 long months of trying.
A very friendly technician named Sipho came out and was an absolute star. Unfortunately on Wednesday night my services were cut. Thursday I tried logging fault reports on their absolutely useless website, which then told me my number did not exist and I must call 10212, which I might add DOES NOT EXIST!!
Then I just hoped that fate would look upon me and fix my line over the course of the day, meaning I would not have to deal with incompetent staff at Telkom SA, unfortunately this did not happen. I was forced this morning to call the dreaded call center. Surprise surprise, I was transferred about 7 times before I spoke to the RIGHT department, pass the buck. Anyway, I have now been told that My order has not been marked as installed, therefore I still need a techie to come out? I was also accused of installing the line myself????
