I live in Pta West area and have been paying for about a year for a 10Mb speed internet. After a frustrating few weeks of almost daily complaints to Telkom about my slow service, I found out today that 10Mb speed does not exist in Pta West, actual speed is only 4MB in this area. The 10MB speed is only coming sometime in 2014!!
That is unethical!!
I am paying for a high speed ADSL line that cuts out at leat 4/5 times daily, if there is a storm I loose internet connection, I have been trying for so many months to solve my problem. When I phone a compalint, my internet works for fine for a few hours then as soon as it gets dark or weekend it cuts out at leat 3 times between 19:00 and 23:00. I cannot spend my life calling Telkom very day!!
I do have a Vodacom Wi-Fi contract as well, but only for emergency use, as the Vodacom signal is just as unreliable.
