On 26 November I purchased data via by Nedbank online banking. The price for 1 gig was R279.00 instead of the current promo price of R149.99. When I queried with Vodacom via Twitter, a few days later, why the price was not loaded at the promo rate they said that banks charge whatever they want to and that the promo is only available at their stores/direct. I then looked online and found the promo price had now been loaded. So I asked the bank to clarify. Nedbank have advised me that they can only load promo or new rates when the supplier gives it to them. At the time of my purchase the promo was already running but was not loaded.

Vodacom clearly did not give Nedbank the new rate in good time and I have therefore paid almost double what I should have paid. On top of that they blatantly to me about this on Twitter.

Vodacom, you owe me R130.00 worth of data. My number is supplied, please load it immediately.
