I was contacted by vodacom to upgrade my contracts. I agreed with the gentleman that 2 of my contracts I will upgrade and 1 contract is to be cancelled. The agent tried to persuade me to take three upgrades because I can get an extra phone. I strongly disagreed and requested only two numbers to be upgraded. The end result has been 3 months of my time and pain as they didn't honour the verbal agreement and upgraded the wrong numbers and sent me 3 phones. It then turned out that the person that contacted me originally was infact not from vodacom but instead elite mobile. He never presented himself as being from elite mobile. I have spoken to vodacom at numerous times since October's initial call and have been given reassurance that the matter be resolved. They keep on billing me and has also charged me for the incorrect upgrade. Its taking a lot of time out my day to rectify their incompetence. Furthermore I believe that it is within my right to ask whether this entire process is legal? Where and how did elite mobile get hold of my number and is it lawful to for an elite mobile agent to obscure the fact that it's indeed elite mobile calling me. I would never to business with them.
