In January 2013 I went to the mtn branch, at Liberty Midlands Mall, Pietermaritzburg and asked to purchase a Top up contract for there Acer Laptop and MTN modem. The contract was suppose to be a top up contract of R329.00 a month, and the sales consultant confirmed and gave me the impression, that I was signing for exactly that. The first month I was billed R188.00 and went to the mtn shop I took the contract from concerned about the bill. They assured me it was an error and next month it would be rectified as well as the date my account would be debited as this was wrong too. The month end of march Came and I was billed a further R1200. I went back to the Mtn branch in panic about my monthly statement and this bill, and I was rudely told I signed the contract and I had to pay, and all of a sudden I was no longer on a top up contract but an open line. I asked for the contract I signed and expressed how that was not possible and I cant afford an open line contract. I didn't get the contract and left the branch in tears. I had to go back numerous times until eventually they sent me the contract, but I was not satisfied with the contract the words were small print and there was not
