Cancellation of my contract is mission impossible!

I have moved countries and are no longer living in South Africa. I have been trying to get hold of the Cancellation Department of Vodacom (27 82 2709015) calling from overseas but I simply cannot get hold of them. I know from previous attempts that it's pointless to call customer care as they refuse to help with cancellations. Signing up for a contract is done in a second with all the help and service of Vodacom. Canceling a contract is a different story as Vodacom simply tries to make it as difficult as possible. I hope to get in contact with Vodacom urgently before I close my bank account as that's the alternative to get rid of the Vodacom monthly payments.
