It's time for me to upgrade my phone contract and I was interested in a deal that said Limited Time Only, so I wasted no time to upgrade to this specific deal. I've been with Vodacom for about 11 years and never had a problem with upgrading. I phoned the upgrade number 0821959 and the lady that answered assited me very well and we went through all the security details and to which deal I wanted to upgrade. All well, she confirmed that my handset would be delivered before 12 December 2013 which I was very happy about and couldn't wait for my new phone to be delivered by courier. Around 16:00 I received a sms telling me that my phone is on back order,??? I phoned the upgrade nr again and asked what the problem was, the person said it's on back order and they don't know when they will receive stock. I was very angry and disappointed with this info and asked her how can they advertise a Limited Time Only Deal and NOT HAVE STOCK?? When I upgraded earlier the lady didn't tell me that there is a back order otherwise I would have taken another deal, SHE SAID IT WOULD BE DELIVERED BEFORE 12 DEC. This is unacceptable service from Vodacom!!! I'll cancel this contract and go elsewhere.
